MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub
Workforce Infrastructure for the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Talent
The cybersecurity workforce challenge is often described as a talent shortage.
We believe the challenge is different.
The issue is not talent. It is alignment.
Organizations continue to invest in cybersecurity training, certifications, and recruiting.
Yet employers still struggle to hire professionals who can contribute in real-world environments from day one.
Training builds knowledge.
Employers hire for readiness.
The gap exists because community development, education, and workforce pathways have traditionally operated independently.
The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub changes that.
Together, these organizations create a continuous pathway from:
Career Exploration → Professional Development → Workforce Readiness → Employment
This coordinated model is the foundation of the MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub.
What is the MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub?
The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is a coordinated workforce infrastructure model developed by Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC) that aligns the entire cybersecurity talent lifecycle—from career exploration through employment.
Rather than creating another standalone program, the Hub connects three proven organizations into a single employer-aligned ecosystem:
Community
Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC)
Building professional identity through leadership development, mentorship, networking, and long-term career support.
Education
Mary N. Chaney Cybersecurity Training Center (MNC-CTC)
Providing structured education, applied learning, cybersecurity residency, and professional formation through an employer-aligned curriculum.
Workforce
MiC Talent Solutions
Connecting developing professionals with apprenticeship opportunities, employer partnerships, workforce alignment, and hiring pathways.
The Role of MiC Talent Solutions
MiC Talent Solutions serves as the workforce engagement and employer alignment partner within the Hub.
We help organizations:
Build long-term cybersecurity talent pipelines
Participate in Registered Apprenticeship pathways
Access employer-aligned residency candidates
Shape workforce development based on real hiring needs
Engage talent earlier through structured workforce experiences
Reduce time-to-productivity by hiring professionals who have developed within coordinated workforce pathways
Rather than recruiting candidates after they enter the market, MiC Talent Solutions helps employers participate in developing future talent from the beginning.
Why Workforce Infrastructure Matters?
Cybersecurity is not simply a technical discipline.
It is a profession requiring technical capability, professional judgment, communication, leadership, and experience operating in high-risk environments.
Employers evaluate far more than certifications.
They evaluate readiness.
The Workforce Hub intentionally develops professionals across every stage of that journey, creating stronger alignment between workforce development and workforce demand.
Built for Employers. Designed for Scale.
The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is launching through a structured three-year Founding Partner pilot designed to validate and scale a new model for cybersecurity workforce development.
The initial implementation establishes regional Workforce Hubs that connect employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and workforce partners through a shared workforce infrastructure.
As the model expands, additional regional Hubs will extend this coordinated approach nationally and, ultimately, internationally.
A Different Approach to Workforce Development
Traditional workforce efforts often focus on isolated activities:
Recruiting
Training
Internships
Hiring
The Workforce Hub connects these activities into a coordinated system.
Instead of fragmented programs, employers gain access to:
Community engagement
Structured education
Applied learning
Registered Apprenticeships
Residency experiences
Employer collaboration
Workforce placement
This creates sustainable cybersecurity talent pipelines designed around how organizations actually hire—not simply how people learn.
Important Clarifier
The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub is a coordinated workforce ecosystem that brings together the strengths of three separate organizations, each serving a distinct role.
MiC Talent Solutions provides apprenticeship pathways, employer engagement, recruitment, and workforce services.
Mary N. Chaney Cybersecurity Training Center (MNC-CTC) delivers formal occupational instruction through its Texas Workforce Commission–approved career school.
Minorities in Cybersecurity (MiC) provides leadership development, mentorship, networking, and community programming.
Each organization operates independently within its respective area of responsibility while collaborating through the Workforce Hub to create aligned cybersecurity talent pipelines.
Participation in MiC Talent Solutions apprenticeship or workforce services does not constitute enrollment in an educational program. Admission to MNC-CTC is a separate process and is governed by the school's published admissions policies and regulatory requirements.
One Ecosystem. One Hub. Aligned Outcomes.
The cybersecurity workforce does not need more disconnected programs.
It needs better alignment.
The MNC Cybersecurity Workforce Hub provides the infrastructure to connect community, education, and workforce into a coordinated talent pipeline that develops professionals the way employers hire them.
